Great Finds at Ikea
Alex and I went recently went to Ikea together to purchase throw pillow inserts (my idea of a good time!). The Fjadrar Inner Cushions are a fantastic price and really great quality! JSH recommends them as inserts for her throw pillows so I picked up a few to fill the new pillows I purchased from her website.
I purchased a striped throw pillow for our corner chair in the dining room, as well as two of the dahlia block print pillows for our couch in the living room. The rectangular striped pillow on the couch is also from JSH! Swapping out your throw pillows between seasons is a great way to subtly and inexpensively keep your rooms looking fresh.
As we were walking through the maze that is Ikea, we passed by the rug section. A few of their sisal rugs caught my eye and to be honest, I was first impressed by their price! Sisal/jute/seagrass rugs can be so expensive when purchased from big name retailers. As you can see in the closeups below, both of the rugs are 2’7” x 4’11” and were $39.99 and $49.99 respectively. Although I have only had them a few days, the quality seems to be good. My biggest concern with sisal is that is must be soft enough to walk on with bare feet and these definitely meet that requirement.
I placed both of the rugs in high traffic areas; one is in the kitchen and one is at our front door. I love the look and am eager to report back on how they hold up!
